Borra Caves, A.P.

During trip to Araku we went to see the famous Borra caves, where the lime stone structures are naturally built. There is a folk lore behind the discovery of these caves. And some say during the British Raj in India the British officer of archeological survey of India found these caves and later these were opened for the public. There is one cave inside the main caves that is named as ‘swarg ka rasta’ or way to heaven. My curiosity drives me to ask the reason behind … I was told that there is absence of oxygen in the cave after walking for 100 or so meters and who so ever entered it, died. The Cave it’s closed for public.

Some of the intresting formations I will share with you…
